Nice progress so far though!
Thanks! I ordered the matte black. Is that the same as flat or satin?

This is how she sits today. I didn't get much done last weekend, I had my grandson and I helped my brother inlaw put a gooseneck ball in the bed of his 1 ton.

The floor was in much better shape than I expected. Only major rot is where the go pedal bolts to the floor.

Thanks 83. It's actually a production building at the company I manage. We build portable buildings and were not running any production in that space right now so I'm using it for my truck. The other pics are inside our mechanic shop. Best part about it is I live on the property so I can work on the truck whenever I want and use all the equiptment forklifts etc etc

Because of your thread and the sublime color
I will do mine in metallic charcoal GM color with sublime in the clear for a hint of green when the sun hits it then a full sublime internal cage charcoal inner cab
The rear part of the tubes I'm not sure of yet I have a full length 4runner cage for my pickup and since I'm making the rear removable kinda I might try the sublime with a charcoal in the clear ?????????????? I don't know

That sounds like a really cool color scheme. I can't wait to see how the sublime and clear works together.

Not rough but a little more transparent in spots and the same with pigment

Progress

Took the kids to sea world in San Antonio last weekend so didn't get to work on the truck. This weekend I got quite a bit done though. Hood is sanded down and I have started the filler work on it. Got the front clip all tore apart and painted. Started putting things back together and now she's starting to look like a truck again. Still need to order the front valance and one turn signal lens and paint the plastic headlight housings.

That looks amazing

Just read through your thread. Really transforming this thing.

What kind of paint are you using? HVLP gun? Are you putting clear on, or did you, or is that without? Sorry of all the questions. I'm considering spraying my whole runner.

It is a single stage acrylic urethane purchased from TCP global. Sprayed over white epoxy primer and I'm using a cheap gun from harbor freight. No clear is required. This is my 1st time ever painting a vehicle and I think it's coming out pretty good

That's great! Is TCP an online company?
