83crawler's 1983 Pickup Build-Up Thread

well im new here but well i have been on the marlin crawler forum for a long time, but its just the same ol stuff everyday i thought i would come over here and share my build,

i started with a 1983 sr5 that i bought about a 3 years ago it was ugly camo and has 22r and a g54 tranny. but then a swapped a l52 with a w56 top shift case into it, it has a 85 front axle and had a bench seat out of a 3rd gen i put stock bucket seats back into it,the people that owned it before me ripped out all the interior witch sucks but o well

(first day i broght it home)

First thing i did was give it a nice fresh paint job

then me and my buddy (89sastoy) bobbed my bed

stayed like that for a year till got every thing need to do highsteer and stuff like that.

so what i have done to it now is high steer with RUF with izuzu trooper rears mixed and cut, s-10 2wd rears out back shook hoops, bilstien shocks sky rear shock hoop welded 4:10 diff u bolt flip kits and bald 35s. and sky off road front axle truss,

MALL CRAWLERS lol

me and my buddy tanner aka (toyotanner) who did most of the work on my truck THANKS ALOT MAN I OW you some :twocents:

(got the :turtle: sticker on the tail gate) :driving:

I have another case at my house for duals i just gotta buy the mc07 adapter and a cross member

i was a dumb and painted it this red color

bought some tires for 500 bucks to run intill i can get bigger ones

i got my new tires on and painted it back to green cause it was super ugly and im keeping it green

i could not stand driving it everyday to work anymore so i got a new daily driver i got a daily driver and i put rock sliders on it and took it to browns camp and only broke my radiator ill post up some pictures my new daily driver its a 92 2wd toyota i love it

this is putting my 529s in

waiting for rock sliders (thanks 89sastoy :thumbs

got back from 4th of july at browns camp

i got the got propane kit slowly getting put on and bought 37in old style mtrs from a buddy for 500 bucks

here is the carb on for the propane

and my half door i just finshed yesterday,

i got layed off a couple weeks ago but once i start working again im going to do duals and 30spline long fields up front and be golden for awhile

heres the newest picture on the 37s

I'm curious too, keep us posted. I'm interested in mpg too. Are you running a dual fuel setup or all propane?
