Hey 82, Happy New Year, your truck looks great. Back on page 3 during your engine swap you mention and show the gusset you got for the fire wall. Where did you get it? I’m having a hard time finding anything, I’ve searched catalogs, auto electric shops, and autobody shops, all I get is shoulder shrugs. My 2 grommets on the fire wall and the 1 behind the passenger seat are rotten and are a source of water entering cab. Thanks, your thread is inspiring.
-----------------------------------
Found them....got a 5 pack and a step drill coming on the 5th. Hope it takes care of some of my water in the cab issue, still have a leak around the windshield gasket. When I pull it out to re-do headliner, I plan on adding some kind of caulking/sealer when it gets re-installed.

My dad is a mechanic and he brought home boxes of misc. grommets. Helped a lot so we didn't have to search everywhere for them. Glad you were able to find some! When I did my windshield I put sealer all the way around it. My windshield leaked before it was re-installed as well.

Looks great. Those tires look tough.
what is the biggest tire that will fit stock? I have 31s and they seem to have plenty of room. 33s?
how loud is that tire?

Truck looks fantastic. I kept waiting for the thread to end without the truck being finished, like so many on here. But you FINISHED it and at a very high level of quality. Kudos to you sir.
I just got an 83 long bed, nearly zero rust. I would be thrilled if it came out as nice as yours did.
