At Least they tried to make it seem like their trying to get it back to it's root's, got to love the fact they did not show one instance of a soccer mom driving the kids to practice or the mall.

Only if they would give the 5 speed and solid axle with lockers front and rear and round out the body or go with that fjrunner from sema from a couple years ago then I could see maybe spending 40k on one,but it is a start toward the right direction.

At around 50 seconds, I see the wheel in the air spinning in unison with the wheel on the ground? Front locker perhaps?

Edit: Or maybe it's the same system the FJC uses.

Still better than the 4th gen. but it looks like an evo x and sequoia got freaky. lol but it reminds me of the 2nd gen, small front end with big rear end. still looks good though

I really like it. Doubt you will ever see SFA again on a Toyota in the States. At least it still retained the solid rear, and the rear locker. Manual transfer case is back, too.

Beats the tar out of the 4th Gens, IMO.

I love it, the front end does remind me about my currently owned 3rd gen. I will trade mine in for the 5th gen if I have the cash. Anyone knows if it is still made in Japan? another important feature for me.

Thanks for clarification.

Took another look, I'm pretty sure that manual transmission won't be available as the hand-brake lever doesn't exist in the centre console, it's a "step-on" parking brake

it looks alot like a 2nd gen and a 4th gen mixed together. I like how you can definitely tell that it's a 4runner

What i see are the body lines of the 1st to 3rd gen 4runners with a touch of FJC.

I like it. A bit bigger but I could use the space w/o going to a LC. This might be the ticket. However I will wait at least year to get the bugs figured out.

So I checked it out in person. It is bigger but mainly wider than my old 4runner. Still isn't that much headroom, but I didn't adjust the seat. I will take test run some day soon
