Who else hates a trailblazer?

I'll be the first to admit it, the thing has been a nightmare for me. I used Trailvoy.com to find info to work on it. It's supposed to be a trailblazer enthusiast site but i have yet to find one single enthusiast on there, just alot of other people on there like me with tb nightmares

They suck. My aunt has one and she's had nothing with problems since the warranty expired.
I hate GM's in general. My mom just got rid of her 2000 Chevy Venture that was a nightmare as soon as it left the showroom floor.

My father has one and its a POS, but he also won't admit that my 4Runner is nicer and way more reliable. Gotta love the ole man's stubbornness, lol

I had to replace a front axle seal on one and to do so, you have to remove the oil pan as the front axle goes through the oil pan! After working for Subaru and then moving to Chevrolet, I will never again buy an American made car. GM has more recall's and electrical problems than I have ever seen before, and more import cars are made in the US than domestic cars now days anyway.

I rammed into the back of a trailblazer once.
Trailblazer didn't take much damage at all. minor dent in the tailgate, cracked fiberglass.

I owned one for 80,000 miles... only had an issue for a leaking gas cap. Maybe you guys just had bad luck. Mine was an 01 I believe.

Electrical issues are the biggest problems I've heard about them. I drove an '03 Envoy once and I thought it was pretty good short term. The fuel penalty isn't that bad going from a midsize to a fullsize so I'd probably skip over them and head to a Tahoe or Yukon.

I just traded a 2002 in! 145,000 miles and falling apart by the day. It wasn't too bad when I bought it with 95,000 but by the time it hit 115,000 the problems began. Started off with broken 4WD (Stripped engagement coupler on front axle), and ended with junk fan clutch, major oil leak(front crank seal), no e-brake, dead battery, and only high on blower fan. I still got $5500 for the trade-in!

Has any one ever thought of putting the 4.2 I-6 in a yota? Just a thought, they do have good power and torque

^ For some reason Chevrolet cannot build a car that doesn't smoke the blower resistor and wiring, or power door locks that work, or water pumps, or.....well you get the idea, I could go on forever. Shows where my loyalty lies. Okay I will stop with the Bowtie bashing.

If you didn't mention the bowtie I'd swear you were talking about an older Jaguar. I did have the blower resistor go in my 1999 Grand Am but that was about it as far as electrical problems for any of our GMs that we've owned over the years.

I have always seen more electrical failures from chrysler and dodge. Want to talk about wiring nightmares I have seen them in 3 out of 6 dodge trucks I have been around. 2005 2500 and a 1999 dakota and a 1500 lights all going on n off and sensor issues with no dealer fix. I have always liked the basic 350 before vortec and ford 351 clevlands till i found toyotas. Never goin back!!

It's not the pre 100k miles on most GM cars that's the problem,it's the post 100k that the things have issues vs Toyotas which most of us have become accustomed to. Most GM products are ok but they don't age as well as other brands do. That means in 10 years there will be very few Hummers left on the roads.

We had the Izusu version. POS, uncomfortable ride, and squat for fuel mileage. Traded for and expedition EL, twice the size, almost twice the fuel economy!

I love them SS 400hp bone stock.

While I did have a few issues with mine I generally liked it. Mileage could have been better but it had good room and the turning radius was extremely small for an SUV. I did blow the LSD out of the rear end though... that was a loud crack/bang then out came the pieces through the diff cover. lol Pulled it into the shop I worked at in 4WD then swapped all the internals over from a junk rear end from a salvage yard. good to go.
