What to buy, what to buy...

What to buy, what to buy...
Alright, so here's the deal:
Current vehicles - 04 Pilot (115000 miles), 93 Yota p/u (225000 miles).
Wifey just got a great new job, and we can finally afford something else, and she's worked so hard (and is going to get paid well enough) that she deserves to get what she wants (not too over the top though, we'll definetly buy used.).
She wants: Slightly used sedan of some sort, her only real necessity is that it be AWD. She fell so in love with the Pilot having AWD, she's told me she won't go without. BUT, she doesn't want another SUV, she wants a little better gas mileage.
SO, what I've been researching, give me all of your thoughts!!!

Man I hate to admit this but a GF of mine has a Volvo s60 with 300,+++ miles and that thing has not skipped a beat, very reliable and easy to work on, 5 cylinder gives both good power and economy, solidly built car with good crash ratings, drives great and comfortable gives the sedan feel with sports car like reflexes.

For some reason i thought toyota bought subaru a while back. Is that not true? Ill have to research. But my vote is the legacy, driven one or two and like em. Toyota did buy 8.4% more of the Fuji Heavy motors which subaru is part of, therefore toyota is the largest shareholder.

The Volv is tops on the list right now... My mom has one and loves it. The Audi's are beautiful, awesome cars, but so freaking expensive and difficult to work on.
The subaru is the best buy for the money. Hell I can almost get a new one for the price of a 4 year old audi or 2 year old volv. But, I've been reading reviews and they seem to have LOTS of little problems. BTW, she does NOT need a WRX... I think she has a ticket for every year she's had a license (and she had a sundance for a few years before we got married, so make sure and take that into account).

Too bad! I've had the pleasure of driving a couple of suped up WRX's and they are nothing short of perfect. But if she has a bit of a lead foot they are nothing but trouble I can attest to that. Just go test drive one you'll see!
