k i know this hardly qualifies for this site but if i can get one compassionite soul to help...

2001 toyota sienna...my parents. oddly enough there is not a fan club for this vehicle. oh and its 3000 miles away from me so im trying to help my very unmecanically inclined dad over the phone on this issue.

sounds like the exact same issue i had with my truck(just makes a clicking sound, pulled starter and replaced contacts. starts like a charm) my question is...are newer starters servicable? the only starter ive pulled and done the contacts on are the ones for my 88...does anyone know if the starters are the same for the sienna and the 4 runner of the same year?
