My buddy owns an 89 xj and his headlight don't work. While we were taking it apart looking for the cause I pulled out something from the kick panel fuse box. I thought it was a fuse, but there is no way of telling if it is blown or not. It was grey metal, about 2 cm wide and basically a giant fuse thats not see through. If i remember right it says "4.8" on it. I circled were it would be on the fuse block, it was on another plastic part clipped onto the block. Anybody know what this is?

BTW after i took it out his interior/dash lights dont work, and wont work when i put the metal thing in.
