85 toyota celica

I have a 85 toyota celica gts 5 speed 22re the other day I was driving it and it started running out I cut it off as soon as it started let it cool down and noticed I was low on water so I put some more in and limped it home. When I got home I let it set over night. The next day I poured some more water in it instantly it poured it on the ground never cranked it or anything. It is pouring it out of the left side of the motor. I thought it was hg but I checked the oil no milky look to it I checked all around the water pump and the two main radiator hoses nothin. I can borrow it down between the oil filter and the front of the motor but just. Can't find the sourc. Any answers?

On my carbureted 22R trucks, there is a coolant hose under the intake manifold in the exact place you are describing. I would think in a 22RE Celica there would be a hose in a similar place. The intake manifold also has coolant running through it. Get a mirror and a flashlight and see if that helps. If coolant pours out as soon as you put it in, you could put a garden hose in the radiator and just start feeling around. Once you find it, I would personally want to replace all the other hoses that look original and fill with distilled water and coolant.

By the way, head gasket problems do not always result with coolant in the oil. I have actually seen a few 22R engines with coolant leaking down the drivers side of the block from the head gasket without other common head gasket symptoms.
