It's not that much if you already have the gear and don't mind risking your bodywork. I already had most of the gear, but I did pick up some fiberglass bodywork in case of a mishap. Most places are less than $200 a day, mine was $130. It depends on the track and the organization.

Oh, and tell the wife that it is much safer than riding on the street. Everybody is going the same direction, and you don't have to worry about someone pulling out in front of you. They usually divide you up into groups, so you'll be with riders that are more or less the same skill level/speed as yourself.

Just be careful when you hit the trackpipe, that ˟˟˟˟ is addictive.

Apparently I wasn't done, just tired of working in a cold garage. I put the graphics on the flipped the bars in the last month for kind of a cafe racer look. It's still comfy to ride, and bad-ass IMO.

My 2000 RC51 38K and counting. Hoping to hit 50K. All stock motor. other than exhaust and air box mods. did 122hp at the wheel with a very clean curve.
First pic I ever took of it:

With the Ex-Wifes 600RR:

Being rebuilt after an encounter with the Guardrail in Oklahoma near the Arkansas border(and yes my Garage in MN was carpeted):

After rebuild before Repaint(looks way better in Pictures. The scratches from wreck looked horrible in person):

Bmiller will recognize it.

I'll bite. This is my usual mode of transportation, as long as it's not snowing. Although, since getting my T4R, I've taken to driving a little more often. Not much, but it's a start.

Back from the dead, I have a 1997 Ducati Monster m750 with 48,500+/- miles on it. It's 1 of 100 in the States. I got T-boned on it two years ago, and just put it back together over the winter. Upgrades inclue, but not limited to: MBP collet kit, open airbox conversion, stage II jet kit, Corse rearsets, Vortex clip-ons, custom CF Sil Moto high exit exhaust, S/S lines throughout and various bits eye candy and other goodies.

I've also got a 1988 Ducati Paso 750 (1 of 55 imported that year), with 20k +/- on it. I'm unsure of the actual mileage because I've blown through about 4 speedo cables and haven't been exactly prompt in replacing them. This is mostly stock, except for a pair of Cobra F1 slip-ons, a Workes Performance shock, fueling/breathing enhancements and a euro taillight.

I'm also playing host to my Dad's 1982 Yamaha Maxim 750, which has 22k on it, and is a fine example of a stock bike ... it's in my garage for some electrical upgrades, but if it stays much longer, I'm gonna claim "imminent domain" and then all bets are off. I do love me them old UJM café bikes ...

Also - always up for a ride, for any of you central NY riders ... !
