ATV Guru's...Need help!
Hey Guy's ~
I Have a Kawasaki Mohave 250, and a Suzuki lt230. I just replaced all the fluids, changed plugs, re-jetted (for white bros pipe), and detailed the 230 and it runs like a champ. First Kick.
The Kawasaki is another story. I did the exact same maint. That I did to the 230, minus the re-jett, and it’s running like an old dog. It was hotter than heck here today, and I was pissed after kicking it for 10 minutes, resting for 5, every other hour. It ran for a bit, and then would die. I tore off all the plastic, got into the air box, and found a little surprise. A TON OF GAS! I mean it was puddling... This isn't right, right? I don't know how it got in there. Any ideas?
I left the box open to dry, and I look into more tomorrow

Take off the carb and pull it apart. Completely (I mean completely) disassemble and clean the inside of it. Make sure all the little holes are clean (you might need a needle). Be careful with carb cleaner. It will eat rubber if you let it sit on it. I found this out the hard way with the o-ring on the bowl of my XR80.
Do this and I bet it'll run like a champ too.

Thanks guys! I'm going to tear the whole damn thing apart. I got a Clymers this morning from my cousin, so that should help. I'm used to 125 dirt bikes - two stroke. My quad is a DOHC, 4-valve, 4 stroke and something I'm going to read up on... Before I tear it all up.
