parting 88 4runner

Well since this is imabig's thread, I'll wait to see if he wants to jump in first.
I do have that piece of glass. But I should tell you that those are not easy to change. You have to pull the entire window frame out of the top to replace the glass in the front windows.

well that being the case, would it be easier to change the whole window instead ? if so , how much do you want for it ? i'm in no big rush right now,as i v'e just started a new job & have to wait till the cash starts rolling in, but i'd still want it. btw it's an 86 4runner that i need parts for

If you've pulled the frame, you're already done 90% of the work to change the glass. Here's a quick description:
* Remove the frame from the top. You do this by removing the interior trim pieces around the frame and using a utility knife, cut the butyl adhesive holding the frame to the top. If you look close, you can see the joint where the frame meets the fiberglass.
* With the frame out, remove the top screw holding the center divider in place.
* This is the fun part and is easier with two people. You need to spread the frame at the middle just enough to jump the glass into the channel. You do this by holding the bottom half of frame with you foot and pulling on the top half. The frame is tougher than it looks. But don't get carried away and permanently bend it.
* Replace the screw in the center divider. Note: the center divider has two holes in it. Make sure the screw goes back in to the correct hole.
* Now you get to clean all the old butyl tape off the frame and the top. A putty knife and some mineral spirits work nicely.
* Remount the frame in the top using a new ribbon of butyl tape.

It's a real good idea to repair any rust on the L-trim while you have the frame out. It's also very common for there to be rust under the weather stripping in the window frame.

I'll take $35 for the glass and switch + shipping. I'll need to find something to put the glass in so it won't get broken. Once I do that, I'll know how much it weighs so I can get a quote on shipping.
Which switch are you looking for? The window lock or the one that raises/lowers the window? (I'm assuming you're referring to the switches in the center console.)

The antenna is gone. I need one for mine too.

It weighs 45lbs so the shipping weight will likely be around 60lbs. I think it's going to need to be crated.
As you can see, there is some damage. I think that the dents could be mostly popped back out with a block of wood and a pry bar. It looks like the larger dent was fixed once already using a slide hammer and then dented a second time. The black patches are where the SR5/V6/EFI/4Runner names plates were glued.
The good news is that there is no rust and the window channels, latches, and hinges are still in it and are in good shape.
