lookin for a 1989 to 1995 p/u lifted
hi just recently my friend missed buying a toyota pickup rolling 38's by about 3 hours and he is devistated! so im looking for another one for him. the truck was still IFS and will be used as an everyday driver and maybe some mud every now and then. the amazing thing was that it had 105k miles on it and was being sold for 6500.
thanks!

My advice to your friend would be to not buy a truck that is already lifted.
The only upside here is that often times they dont factor in the cost of the
lift with the retail price, so you do save a buck.
But, on the downside, you don't know what quality of lift/ installation you're
getting. This could be anything from an OME kit done at a professional shop
to a wooden block put in by some drunken hillbilly. Also, you really don't want
to buy anything thats been wheeled hard. You don't know what parts could
be on their last leg. If your truck's gonna be destroyed, you might as well
be the one destroying it, right?
Find a nice, stock 3rd gen truck, mod it the way you want it, and you'll be
much happier in the long run.

yeah i know all of this but all of that is a very long an painstaking process. he wants more of a buy and drive. i can lift this truck and know what too look for as far as leaks and joints and a quality lift. and no matter what i am goin over the kit just to make sure! o and the 38's on ifs was CRANKED TO THE MAX! but was very rarely used offroad!
