yeah I was a little more harsh, but I edited it. I still have them because I've been to busy/lazy to ship them back to Marlin.

Hmmm. . . do you think they could be modified to fit a third gen? Could you get measurements of how far apart the two brackets are? Thanks

sure, no sweat. They measure 41" from the hinge to the door clasp. I can measure the distance from hinge to hinge, is that what you need?

Mounting holes are 3 and a half inces apart on the door plate....

Distance from top hole to bottm hoe on opposite plate is 16 and a half inches...

I will be out of town until Saturday.
