Talking Electric ADD Actuator and wiring harness

Hi folks,
I've got a spare front diff electric ADD Actuator complete with wiring harness.
Asking $50 plus shipping. Here is a pic. Should be compatible with 2001+ Tacomas and 4Runners (not sure what years).

Cheers,
P

Hey bud,

Haven't chatted since your help with my locker woes. Do you think this could be retrofitted into a 98 which is vacuum actuated? I'd really like to have the 4wd electrically controlled.

It's been some time, hope all is well with the locker. If you were able to dig up the wiring diagrams for the 4WD circuit you "could" make it work on your rig. Keep in mind that this would only "connect" your passenger side axle to the diff and not engage and disengage your 4WD. Personally, I don' think that the mod would be worth it for the work unless you can explain a little better what you are looking for.
Cheers ,
P

I just think the vacuum driven 4wd has too many weak links and is more prone to failure. So if the actuator only engages the passenger axle, what engages the drivers side? pardon my ignorance.

The driver side CV is alwasy engaged. When you pull the 4WD lever or push the button, you engage the transfer case and this actuator engages the passenger side.

Thanks for the bump.
