Wow, that's really tempting. Especially since it's local...

Find out the mileage on it. It may need a rebuild; $700 at Magnuson.

Also, the 7th injector won't solve the timing advance problem, so one would need to get a piggyback to retard the timing.

If it doesn't need a rebuild, it's a good deal.

Sounds like the same person. I sent an e-mail to inquire on miles so let's see.

The guy wrote back and said 0 miles on the s/c. He also gave me his number. BTW, he has two of these.

I sent him a reply asking if these were brand new and were they still in the box? Also, how much mileage there was on the 7th injector.

If he replies both are new in the box, I'm probably going to get a set...

If they really are 0 miles, then they may have fallen off a truck.

.....unless he's got a story to back it up (I'd be very cautious too!!!).
Seems like $1500 for a new S/C and 7th injector is a smokin deal if it turns out to be true.

He's got a story but I'm not sure how good. They're both brand new and he has two sets. Says he used to work for TRD and "happen to come on them." He also said in the same conversation that a friend gave it to him to sell over a year ago and they've been sitting in his garage ever since.

If only I knew how to validate that it is new w/o a box and instructions and works perfectly fine, I'd buy it...

I wonder if you could ask for the UPC number on the box (or serial # on the S/C) and verify with TRD that they weren't stolen.

Update: I have the guy's number and he seems to only be willing to talk on the phone and not reply by e-mail. Fishy.

Story he told: Fishy.

Maybe I'm too conservative but I won't risk it b/c I don't know if these units look new but were defective or where he really got these units. End of the day, someone can have it if they want it.
