1988 nissan pick up loaded
I dont know if anyone here likes nissan pick up's but, my dad has a 1988nissan pick up. It's fully loaded (for '88) with i think 16k-180k miles it's a SE,v6,auto,4x4,ac&heat(never usedso dont know if it works right),buckets, jump seats in the rear, limited slip rear(not sure of gears),open front diff(not sure of gears),king cab, and a set of 15x9 american racing outlaw II's on nearly bald 15x30 bfg tires. My dad has had this truck for about 2 months he got it from a mexican in morristown,tn for 200. The bad news is that it needs a $300 transmission controler the trans is good though. The motor needs rebuilt (it has not been taken apart since the factory and has developed a knock). And the truck was used in construction so the body has ALOT of dents (the worst is behind the drivers door and is about 4-5 inches deep and a foot round) and other dents around the whole body wioth holes drilled in the bed rails. it will also need a grill and new lights all around the truck. a repaint,a drivers side door panel, carpet, and a stereo. I cant remember anything else about it i think im forgetting something but ill post it if i remember it.The good news is it has NO rust that we have found. If you want this truck it will have to be towed or the trans controler replaced before you drive it (it revs to 4500 in first before it shifts and the jerks badly). we have driven this truck when we were able to "fix" the controler by unplugging and plugging it back in and the motor and trans shifts smooth and runs fine once the motor warms up the knock goes away. so for a good running vehicle just replace the controler. Also were not sure if it has overdrive or not, but it takes about 1\4 of tank to go 8-10 miles so were sure it proabbly doen't have overdrive and is a 3 speed auto. However with the trans controler screwed up it could not be able to shift into overdrive and that would hurt gas mileage as well. i cant get pics up because he doesn't have digital camera and i now live in farmington,mo with my mom so i cant take pictures.oh and its a mix of faded silver, faded factory black or blue grapghics, and primer. even if you dont want to fix the body and interior you could fix the motor and trans and have a good beater for winter or just trail use where you dont have to worry about hurting anything on the truck.
asking $200 so he can get back what he put in it.
