wheel backspacing.. will these fit my 2nd gen??

wheel backspacing.. will these fit my 2nd gen??

i dont really know anything about backspacing and what will fit what, i was told that these wheels would fit but im not so sure... ive only seen these wheels on one 4runner and it was after hours of searching so im 2nd guessing myself.. well i just got 15x8 dick cepek wheels on 32x11.5 bfg M/T with a 3 5/8 backspacing with a -21mm offset.. here is a picture of the wheel

they will fit backspacing wise but with a -21mm offset they may not tuck in the fenders with the suspension fully compressed. I dont know much about the 4-runners though. Maybe somebody will chime in that knows for sure.

what do you mean by tuck in the fenders? like the tires will stick out more?

Yep, less backspacing means the wheel will stick out wider:

Well not only is the backspacing less than stock (sticking the tires out further) but the -21mm offset means the center of the wheel is 21mm from the center of the wheel moving it out even farther. In other words the lug nuts will be 21mm inset from the center line of the wheel. So no I dont think they will clear the fenders when you flex the suspension.

in short, no.

offset is just another way to measure the backspacing, but using the center line of the wheel instead of the inner most lip. and the lugnuts will be in the same place....

those wheels will stick out approx 2 inches more then your current wheels, if you are running stock 7" wide rims.
