I just bought my first tacoma about a week ago. it is a 1996 stock height and was wondering what are the biggest rim/tire combo i could go with when i get a 3in body lift. The truck is too low for me now. i need to beef it up a bit

 

A three inch body lift would be good for 33s. However, I'm not sure if you would have to regear or not. I've never driven a newer tacoma before, let alone a newer tacoma with 33s and stock gears so I wouldn't know if you would need to regear. I know the 3.4 V6 has a heck of a lot more power than the 3.0 V6 from the previous generation, so it may be able to handle it. But, like I said before, I don't really know. What I do know, is that 33s would fit with a 3" body lift.
