upgrading to 16's, what tire size?

My 2wd 99 4runner came stock with 15's and I need tires soon. Eventually I want to do the tundra brake upgrade so I want to go ahead and swap rims and step up to 16's. My stock tire size is 225/75/15, I currently have 265/70/16 and like the look. So here is a chart comparing the tire sizes. I think the 265/70/16 is too much taller than the stock size and I don't want to throw the gearing off that much as I plan to do some towing. I can get 235/70/16 and 255/65/16 used tires cheap from a friend who owns a land rover salvage yard, just not sure which of those 2 sizes would be best. The 235 is the most common.

The 245 is about the same diameter as the 265. I really don't want to go that big.

285/75/R16 is a good size... I think its like 32.8 x 11. its a good tire size if you've got lifting plans in the future.

2wd, no plans to lift it. Just daily drive it and occasionally tow with it

This link might help. Will allow you to get your speedo correct at least.

I ended up going with the 255/65/16 I found 5 Michelin LTX M/S with over 75% tread for $20 each. Installed them yesterday, So far seems good. My speedo is now closer to being correct but still slightly off.
