According to an article I read in 4 wheeler the wider the tread pattern on the tire the better it does in the snow, because the snow caught in the tread will grab to the snow on the ground. However, I have 32" goodyear MTR's, and I really really hate them in the snow. I have heard a lot of good things about the toyo M/T

yes I ran BFG AT's last winter and they where great I will be buying them again when these wear down or the longtrails wear out on the 4runner
they also worked very well mudding and offroading at a local spot.

I had the toyo m/t on my 82 toy and it did great in snow, even when I drove it through a super deep little snowmobile single track with jumps and stuff. However, I drive a mountain pass to jackson and they do terrible on ice. In fact about a month ago I crashed into the guard rail when I was driving over on a super cold night and hit a patch of ice. Now im trying to find some 16 inch rims to fit some studded hankook dynapro ipike tires that were on my ex girlfriends rwd trailblazer that allowed us to make it to work everyday last winter regardless of 16 inches of snow and icy conditions. They are a stock sized tire but absolutely kill it on one of the most dangerous roads in the u.s.

I actually run TSL's that have been siped on my toy right now and it is a littyle sketchy on ice but loves the loose snow. But i dont know of a tire that is 39.5x15 that would grip the ice on a toyota!

I am probably the only obne who has driven snow and ice in the last week huh?

haha gotta love glaciers!!
you suck. I want snow and ice
