Tire Pressure Warning

Tire Pressure Warning
This is a small warning that made me freak when it happened to me.
I recently had a tire that wouldnt balance(although was told it was). Went and tried to get an alignment, after several shops declined due to a small lift
..... finally I decided not to inform the next shop so I can get them to look at it. LOL they found my vibration , bad tire.
Ok I bring my truck to where I got my tires, they confirm I have a bad tire and agree with out fuss to replace it( I was surprised but it was less than 5000 miles on the tread). Well at point I am happy and think all is well but my truck seems to ride really stiff. Well I figure its just the Tundra springs. Well I see I am getting strange wear on my tires, so I check the pressureomg it was 48 psi.....I lowered to 32 and my little beast handles like it used to and so much softer.
Now if I can only figure out what tire I can fit and with what backspacing I will be golden. I will be adding 1" shackle height and if needed a 1" body lift. I want 33's but searching info seems to be a lost cause due to no real definitive answer in my searches.
Anywho if youve had work done recheck if you can what they have done. Oh I did call them and ask why the 48 psi and the reply was well you can go up to 52 so it should be ok. I think some one dropped the ball or they were pissed about me coming for the exchange but either way check yours if things seem awry after a service.

Happens all the time. They put high pressure in it when they install the tires sometimes and forget to lower it again, or whatever. You should ALWAYS check for yourself, even from a reputable shop. Even if they didn't 'goof,' chances are they don't know what you prefer to run in your tires anyway.

OMG 48PSI???? You should go back and have them arrested. I would demand 4 new tires and a new refrigerator.
Relax, it is no big deal. I doubt the guy that mounted it has any care or concern that it was beging replaced. If they really wanted to mess with you, they would have put a smilely face of wheel weights on the inside. A few extra PSI is really nothing.

Well I do agree they probably didnt do it to cause me any troubles but a few psi is a huge difference in the ride.
