Lots of people on TTORA are using them and getting decent life. They apparently do REALLY well in snow and rain. As with all aggressive tires (and especially Interco's) there have been some issues with balancing. I'd really look into some Dynabeads or other dynamic balancing.

I'm thinking they will be my next tire (in the 255/85-16)

I had a set on an old 82 cj7 I renovated--I was impressed with them on and off the road; They stayed in balance for me, and seemed to wear pretty evenly.

I have heard them described as "quieter than MTRs", and I always thought MTR's were VERY quiet (for what they are)...

I ran them on my 87 4Runner. I had balancing issues with them and never really got them balanced. Was no impressed with them in the rain(My brother[Pinnacle]) wasn't impressed either. I locked them up a lot in the rain with normal braking.

Offroad: I loved them , they were awesome.

They're a swamper. So they'll wear like a very grippy offroad tire. They will get loud if you don't rotate them religously.
Offroad, I couldn't ask for a better all around tire.
On road they were good but not as good as my BFG AT KOs but they're in different classes.

I will get them again as soon as I wear out my winter tires on spare set of rims.

I'll probably get them again. I'm at least the third owner of mine, so they've got 40k or 50k on them, and they're just now starting to wear to the point that I'm considering new tires in a few months. They were hard to balance, and still cause some vibration from 55mph to 60mph sometimes. What's this Dynabead balancing system? They're definitely heavy tires, too, and are fairly loud at speed (50mph and up).

However, the traction and stability is incredible in all conditions. I haven't been through a ton of mud, but they have great traction on greasy jobsites and selfclean like crazy. Driving in rain is like driving on dry pavement, and snow traction is amazing. Aside from the high-speed vibration, they're very smooth and solid on the road, and judging by mine, they wear extremely well.

I would highly recommend them.

I too would recommend them for someone looking for a good preforming off-road tire with ok on-road manners. That being said, they are noisier than an A/T (except Pro-Comp A/T's) and are pretty heavy. They wear ok, perhaps 25-30,000 miles is a good mileage estimate, and don't balance very well. I definitely have the 60mph vibration with my 33x12.50's.

Off-road tire rating: 9.0/10
On-road tire rating: 7.0/10

Dyna beads are little ceramic balls that you put inside the tire and they "automatically" got to the low spot and help balance it.

I'm getting a set of 35x12.5's for my FJ40 on friday, I keep reading all these great reports about them, so am looking forward to getting them offroad.

They'll no doubt make an apperance on my 4runner at some stage too.

Ummm - search dude. Some people say they fit, some don't.

The 255/85-16 (33x10.50) will fit for sure

Since this thread popped back up, thought i'd post my thoughts on these tyres! Have been running them on my FJ40 for 3-4 months now and love them! Handle great on dry and wet roads, not too noisy, and awesome offroad! I really can't fault these yet!

Had them on the 4runner last weekend for a bit of wheeling! And once again they were great! surprised me on wet rocks too!

Phew pics!

How do they compare to the MTZ's?
