Quick Tire And Wheel Question! 96 tacoma

So right now I have 30x9.50R15's on my 96 Tacoma. I was wanting to put 31x10.50R15's on there. Is that possible and if so will the tire stick out way more than the rim?

Yes, its possible. My truck came stock with 10.50 tires. Since the 10.50 is one inch wider than the 9.50, it will stick out .5 inch further in and further out. No mystery there.
