Pro Comp 8069 Paint question

Really quick question for those who have received these or have these already, are they supposed to look like this?

Bare metal where the lug nuts go?

probably best to have it that way.. by having paint on that surface the lug nuts could come loose, i say could because i doubt it would happen but its possible. when i put new tracks on excavators and log loaders at my work i have to sand the paint of the track rails and pads mounting surfaces before i bolt them togeather. that way the paint cant be rubbed off and eventually let the bolts loosen up.

good point. well i just used gloss black touch up paint to paint around the edges, trying not to hit the center area where the lug nuts would actually come in contact. turned out fine.
