I know exactly what you mean! the runner is my moms but her and her boyfriend (future husband) are buying her a new car and this will be mine! i will keep it til i die. I just need to fix the cancer and I think I need to rebuild the 3.0 soon. Im having problems with it and cant figure out what it could be. But im not sure if a rebuild is worth it. I would much rather do a 3.4 or Chev 350 swap if i can get the funds! I will be going to Wyotech to major in automotive. and its a 18 month ordeal so maybe i can get a job and save the money so I can use their equip to do some of the work!

 

haha I'm definitely getting advised against the "3.slow".
putting in a 3.4 is what I'd look at, didn't think about a 350 tho. That'd be awesome.

Yeah. I would really like to have the 350 but Im scared the 350 would take too much tapping on the firewall. and too much wiring. Do you know if the 3.4 has a big power difference?

 

I do not. I just know it doesn't have the "lemon" rep. In fact ppl I've talked to have said they're sure my engine doesn't have all original miles, cuz it's a miracle if a 3.0 lasts 300k...

 

Hmm, thats odd. But I think I may go with a 3.4 if I do a swap there are already so many write ups and people have already fixed most bugs!

Thats awesome, but how long will you be out there? Im only a Junior in high school so it wont be for another year or 2. But I might get my GED and go in early if my mother will let me!
