Narrowing down Tire choice

Narrowing down Tire choice
Ok, so I'm a complete newb. I do take my first gen runner 4bying regularly, but it's bone stock. I NEED tires. I also commute 70 kms a day 4 days a week. I don't really care about road noise. I want long life and tires that will take a beating (Rocks, dirt, some mud and snow). I've never been interested in buying "brand name" stuff just cause...
So my research has lead me to a few options: (I think 31" is about right)
Toyo M/T open country
Procomp Xtreme MT or Xterrain (Would've been first choice, but I worry about sidewall strength)
Maxxis Bighorn
Cost is also a factor... Any opinion is appreciated. Thanks!

Check out Goodyear's new DuraTrac tire. It's got the best of both worlds: a very aggressive all terrain tread with siping and sidewall lugs that give it the appearance of a mud terrain.
I've also seen the new Kelly Safari TSR and it's also a very aggressive all terrain.

sorry but imo nittos suck. your on the right track with the toyo's though. most guys are getting 50-60 thousand easy with these tires. plus there quite on the road and run very true. they are more expensive than most but welll worth it . i have a set on two diffrent vehicles and have been enjoying them for a couple years now. plus i sell them at work so i get to hear what everyone thinks of them that actually run them and use them for what they are. Trust me well worth the money. WOLF HAS SPOKEN!!!
