So far it looks like there are two interested. I think he was hoping for at least four people to drop the price that much. Anyone else interested? I need to check what he could ship them for first I guess. I'll check.

Just a quick note when figuring the numbers- don't forget the cost of getting the tirerack tires mounted and balanced (~15.00 a tire, depends where you go). Some places will only balance brands that they sell, others refuse to mount tires that you bring in)- stuff you might already know. I bought my Bridgestone Revos from tirerack, when everything was said and done, I paid about the same as I would have at the local dealer.

Hopefully shipping from Dallas to El Paso would save me some money over buying from Tirerack. If your brother sells me the tires I can get them warrantied at a Goodyear store right?

I was hoping MPG wouldn't change much but I average just over 18 MPG since going to manual hubs and I get about 22-23 on the highway. I'm hoping mileage doesn't change a huge amount but I'm already doing better than most so I shouldn't complain if I lose 1 MPG.

Okay, Victor and TStango. Give me your zips and my brother can figure out the exact shipping cost. I asked him what shipping would be, and he told me it would depend on the zips.

Maybe I need to turn this into a group buy thing for more visibility.

What do you guys think?

Dang!!!
You get way better gas mileage than me. My 95 gets about 14 on a good day. I get 200 miles on a tank before I have to refill. Once I got 217 and I think I was pushing it though.

Hey my brother called back and told me to zip 79935 it would cost $44.88 using this frieght company they use. He also said if you wanted Road Hazzard Warranty it would cost $13.34 a tire. The only other warranties they offer is Mileage warranty, but the MTRs don't come with it. Is that what you meant?

I'm not trying to sway you guys my brothers way...I was just trying to save you guys a few extra dollars. If the deal isn't good enough. My feelings won't be hurt. I just asked him if he could give us a deal if I got a group buy going.

Let me know.

MTR's????

My brother sort of led me to believe that they weren't a good tire for tread life. He said I had better rotate every other oil change, and keep air pressure correct because they'll start chopping. But if you've had the experience with them I'll trust you. I was actually thinking about getting them too, but he advised me to stay with an AT.

Yes, MT/R's. 50,000 miles is what many have reported.

Damn, I wish I had known that 6 months ago. I was told the tread life sucked also. That's why I got the BFG A/Ts instead of the MT/Rs I wanted.

Where is the smilie showing me kicking myself in the a$$.

Not really much noticible wear after 8,000 miles. I just got a new MTR spare and checked the depth and it looks like a mm difference or less.

What's the recommended air pressure for hwy use? I've been running them around 45.

Mine are on and I love them. They have a great ride. Thanks so much JSB and Kevin. As a matter of fact a bunch of the guys at the dealership that mounted mine may want to call you.
