Largest tire to work with stock 04 4WD

I've got an '04 4WD 4Runner Sport. Am replacing the wheels with the aluminum wheels from an FJ, but was wondering what size tires might be the largest that I can use on the 4Runner. Suspension is stock. No lift at all. The stock FJ tires are slightly larger than the 4Runner (270/70/17 vs. 265/65/17). Anyone know if these will work without rubbing, or can I go even larger?

Thanks,
John

I don't know if this will help but I'm using 265/70/17's on the stock 4R Sport rims with no problem. The difference between the stock 65 profile sidewall and the taller 70 profile gave me 1 7/8ths more height measured at the center of the front skid pan. From all that I've been able to research, any larger than this requires trimming the mudflaps or more. According to my GPS the speedo reads low by 2.5 mph at 70 with the taller profile tire.
