Falken Wild Peak A/t

I am looking to buy some new tires for my truck.

I am really considering the Falken Wild Peak all terrains in a 32x11.5x15.

Does anyone have any experience with these? How is it off road?

My truck sees about 95 percent street time, but I do want some decent tires when I do decide to go wheelin!

Thanks, yotatech!

Great tire for street/dry/rocks offroading. Not so good in mud or loose dirt terrain.

I have them on my 83 Pickup (31x10.5) and 2005 Tundra (33x12.5). I absolutely love them and will definitely buy them again. I think that they are likely the best and most economical A/T tire on the market - perfect for that daily driver that occasionally finds himself in the mud, snow, sand, etc. Very good rubber compound that doesn't wear ridiculously quick. At the time that I bought mind, they also had the deepest tread pattern out of any A/T's on the market but don't produce any road noise. Only downside to the tires that I have found is that they are fairly heavy.

A word of advice though, get the Rock Mountain A/T instead. They are EXACTLY the same as the Wild Peak A/T but are sold exclusively by Discount Tire Direct for a bit of a price break. I can vouch for that they are the same because I actually have the Wild Peaks on my 83 Pickup and the Rock Mountains on my Tundra.

On another note, for all you more hardcore wheelers out there, Falken is comping out with the Wild Peak M/T soon. From what I have seen, they look to be a really good tire as well.

The '90 4x4 I just got has 31x10.5x15 Falken Landairs on it, and one needs to be replaced. I can't seem to find Landairs (discontinued?), but a place about an hour away has Falken Rocky Mountains. Any idea if that would be a suitable replacement?

The Landaurs have long been discontinued. I wouldn't replace just one tire, but if you do two or all four then the Rocky Mountain tires would be an ideal replacement

Thanks kawazx636. Yeah, I know I need to do at least 2. Due to a sudden change in finances it looks like I'll be having to go through Sears now. Need to do some research on their offerings.
