BFG KM2's with snow?
Just bought some new BFG KM2's for my 00 taco. Before buying i read a lot of great comments and reviews for all types of terrain except couldnt find any on snow. I live in the tahoe area and do a lot of snow wheelin and a friend told me they are not snow friendly... he runs boggers. If anyone has experience or has heard anything about these things in the snow i would appreciate it thanks, John

you'll be fine. really depends on what you consider "snow friendly" (for offroading or for keeping your rig from going into a ditch during winter driving?) KM2 isn't any worse than all the other tires out there in the snow. sounds like your friend is thinking more about how well the lugs clear out the snow...but his rig would chatter your teeth riding on pavement. if you plan to drive a lot in the winter on ice-covered roads, you might want to look into bringing in your KM2s to have some extra siping cut into them - extra siping is always better for more traction.

They will do ok in the snow, just like any mud type of tire. Now ice is a whole different ballgame. They suck in ice, plain and simple. They just don't have the sipes needed to grab the ice. I have used every type of mud tire by now and as a general rule snow traction is ok, but ice, look out.
