2018 4Runner 17" Rims on a 99 4Runner Limited??
I need to get new tires for my 2 wheel drive 1999 Limited. I love the vehicle and has been very good to me but it is 20-years old and I don't drive it that much ... why I need new tires, current ones have dry rot. So, being cheap, I was looking at some of the classifieds around my area for used tires and noticed a few folks selling 17" wheels with tires from their newer 4-runners including both a 2005 and a 2018. So, I was wondering if these would fit my vehicle without any problems or having to do a lift or shaving or anything except put them on?
To be clear, my current wheels are 16" with 265/70/R16 tires and the newer 4runner wheels are 17" with 265/70/R17 tires.
I apologize if this has already been answered in other threads but I could not find a definitive answer and even when I did I would see further posts talking about shaving, lifts, offset, pounding welds....
