Red face 15" tires are they going away ??

Last fall I had a talk with my tire dealer because I run 15" tires on every thing but my F250 and trailer.

Which makes for quite a few 15" wheels that I really can`t see switching to 16" or 17" wheels

Last years talk was " 15" tires will be around for quite awhile yet"

Go to get two flats fixed while I was there buy 2 new tires .

Get told that " Well no one really wants the mud and snow tires in 15" so we just don`t stock them"( only all season)

" Your 15 years behind the times all the vehicles use larger wheels "

I remind them of last years talk and he gives me the deer in the head lights look.

While there still out there it seems the choices get more limited as the supply dries up. From lack of demand .

Has anyone else seen this as well??

Know of a 4x4 truck maker that makes one stock with a 15" rim now?

Red face

I don`t know only being able to pay cash for a new truck .

Between medical insurance and taxes at the rate prices are increasing I will be dead till I save enough money.

So I have not really looked at new trucks since 1976

I purchase all of my tires online now, typically from Tirerack.com. I then take the tires to the shop for mounting on the car, but for the truck I do my own mount, because of having beadlocks.

I sure hope they don't go away. I just don't like the look of the low profile tires. I still like the looks of tires with lots of side wall.
