New section for camping
Camping, Expedition, & Overlanding Gear
The above topics were mixed in with the recovery/winch talk section, and both got intertwined with each other.
This should make it easier to locate anything related to outfitting your rig for camping, backpacking, expedition travel with your rig or a trailer, ect.

i personally wear Alico's which is the old Fabiano Rio, now owned by Scarpa.
as for newer boots, all of these are pretty decent.

best tents made IMO

don't overlook sierratradingpost.com for some sick deals on great, high quality gear.

Hey thanks Corey for getting a new camping gear thread started. Next should be a photography specific thread IMO
Anyways I recently bought a few items that i fell would be great for others like me. First off I bought a Big Agnes flying Diamond 6 tent for trips with the family.
Our requirements:
In the end it came down to weather resistance and price. We have since tested it out in 50mph wind and rain with no problems. My wifes only gripe is that it is slightly shorter than she would like for height when standing in the tent.

- weather proof. able to with stand snow, driving rain, and strong winds
- 2 rooms so our daughter can sleep in one and my wife and i in the other.
- priced under $500

You are welcome John.
We do have a picture area under the Photography section which would be good for showing "Camp fire" shots, "Camp Site shots" ect.
Nice tent you have there.
I am getting in the mood here real quick to get out.
