Nice setup, bed too?
The rear of the FJ is smaller than my 2nd gen was.
In the 2nd gen the cargo box and the cooler would both be able to be on the floor, as long as the subwoofer was taken out or put up and strapped to the cargobox.
Had the temp conversion chart laminated today at a copy center.

I will take the chart to work and cut it down some more with a paper cutter and tape it down in that spot, or I may just punch some holes in it and use zip ties and attach it to the handle or somewhere else on the sides.
This fridge is pretty darn cool.
Very quiet too when it is cycling.

FWIW, I've been using a Waeco 40-quart fridge for about 3 years now for my expeditions, and it works great. The model I have can be run on 12vDC or 120vAC. There are factory-refurbished models available now for only $450. Similar performance as an Engel/ARB for a lot less!

The ARB fridge only has a Celsius readout on it, no way to switch to Fahrenheit.
Anyone considering getting one of these fridges it would be a good idea to have a printout to keep on/by the fridge so your food is stored at a safe temperature.
Food poisoning is not fun.
Been there/done that

I would like one to evaluate if your offering . I have had this Coleman one from trucking days for about 7 years and its about dead and I have been looking into getting a new one but if this is better then Coleman I would like to see if it will last as long as Coleman and what the price difference is.

I will have a complete writeup in the Tech Section on the installation into my FJ at a later date.
One of these is on the way.

There is a "rubbermaid" freezer / refrigerator at Target for $49.99 - I wonder if its any good?
It runs off DC - so does its work like an ice cooler when the car is off? I'm guessing you need to run the car whenever you want the ref. to cool.... and just let it chill when the car is off....
Are you guys wiring your outlets to stay hot with the keys off?

More than likely it is not energy efficient and will run down your battery in a few hours.
From the reports around the forums I read the ARB type of fridges can go for 4 to 5 days before wearing the battery into a negative discharge state.

Update to an old thread.
I relocated the fridge to a better spot awhile back.
