Filters/Hoods

Would it be okay to buy these off eBay, or should I pick them up at a local shop?

I'm wondering because they are pretty pricey at the stores I've seen them at, however, the eBay cheapies are... well.. cheap.

I've already bought a remote from eBay, and had no problems with it, but am also pretty sure it won't harm the camera, like say, a burning li-ion battery would.

Thanks for the help guys.

There's a BIG difference in the optic quality of filters ... I wouldn't buy a bunch of super cheapie ones - maybe get one and see how it works for ya
