I pulled the toyota computer completely out of my truck. I have a 4.3 from a 2000 astro and I kept the r150f (toyota trans.) What exactly are you trying to connect between the 2? The toyota just needs the signals for the gauges, and the Engine side should just need Power, Ground, and Ignition. Go to a mechanic and see if they can print you out an accurate copy of your engine wiring schematic. If you don't have much experience with wiring it might be a good idea to order a harness.

Buy one of these:

study all the engine control sections, ignition, fuel, etc. The wiring in the chevy already has the engine controls very well separated, just a matter of tracking down the power wires, fuel pump, and some gauges and splicing them into the toyota where necessary.
