Hello peoples. Ive been going through all the engine swap threads but have not found any pertaining to the chevy 283. I just 260k on my 22re and it seems to getting tired. Opinions are welcome. I work for a guy that races late model monte carlos in the late model nascar circuit. He has 3 of these motors and will give me one.

 

Not sure about what is involved in swapping the motor but the 283 was a great motor. Would like to have one myself, almost indestructible little motor.
