What are your Diesel swap results?
I've just recently started kicking around the idea of swapping in a diesel motor into my truck and I would like to find out the results you have gotten from them? Im interested in putting 2L-TE if I could find it.
But I want to know kind of performance you are getting out of your various swaps. Pros/Cons of the swap, fuel mileage, drive-ability. Its all useful information

I'm replacing a 1999 5L with a 1989(?) 2L due to blowup and poverty for abt 1 yr, then I can fix 5L and refit. the alternator wiring is different and I can't find the glowplug timers, which I think I can just swap. Can I expect to have the shorter cam belt with one idler?
