I have an 88 Toyota Pickup Xtra cab project im working on. It was a V6. But the motor is toast, I've done 22re swaps but I always like to do something slightly outside the box. A guy I know just picked up an 81 Toyota hilux 2.2 diesel 5speed 2wd. And he Wants to know if I want the motor for my pick up... I'll be running 35-37s trail gear sas with 5.29s. 50/50 road to wheeling. Is it worth the time effort and money? Are these motors any good? For the application I want?
