Have a 94 4Runner from the factory 3.0 automatic.

Have OM617, 700r4, Dana 300.

I am looking for answers to my motor mount need. I have been searching for mounts to buy that are designed to fit in place of the Toyota 3.0. Have only been able to find those that fit 22R applications.

Does anyone know where I can get the mounts I need? Is there anyone here who would help me out for a fee.

Took me less than an hour to fab my motor mounts. Use some beefy plate, some cardboard, and a plasma cutter. I have pics of mine in my thread.

 

What rubber mount did you use?

I have a set and it will take more than an hour to make quality mounts that wont scare women and children when they see em.

 

Thanks for the input. I too wound take a lot longer than an hour for me to design much less build a set of mounts. That's assuming I had the necessary tools.

 

Sorry, forgot to reply sooner. Although I bought brand new rubber mounts, I used the exact same 22R mounts. I found that it would be easiest to use everything Toyota 22R Pickup related possible incase you have to replace something. Example: My alternator. I couldn't remember the specific vehicle it came off of, and the sticker got ripped off, so go figure, Autozone couldn't find a replacement for me until I figured out the vehicle it was on.

Back to your question, use the stock rubber isolators, put the plates on top of them, and design something to go from the plate to the OM617. I have pics up. Remember that your mount is only as strong as your weakest point. The stock mounts are stamped out of pretty thin stuff, so what I used was super over-kill.

Edit: Also keep in mind how you're going to install/remove them as you're building them. One of the most common engineering problems. I designed mine with specific installation/removal procedures in mind. Mercedes likes to design crap to make you have to buy one of their special tools to service.

If you end up building your own be sure to clearance the driver side one enough to clear the IP. Like Joe said they aren'r hard to build at all. My truck was a 3.0 and I used the stock 3.0 rubber mounts. There are pictures in my thread as well. They ain't pretty but they work.
