Ideas and discussion for converting to a toyota diesel

Hi, this thought drives me crazy.

I have a 1995 toyota pickup 22re 5 speed and I love it. I needs a couple of things to make it perfect but everything does. Just like eveyone else who has seen a diesel hilux, I want one. I have searched and seen a comany on the west coast that does the whole conversion but it is over ten grand. I want to do it but I do not want to spend that much money. I wish I could just get one of those quad cab solid axle diesel trucks over hear.

I want to gather ideas on this and figure out a reasonable way to make a diesel pickup.

Here is a link to a land cruiser 70 from toyota. This is sweet.

thought about a VW or 4BT Cummins swap? I love toyotas as much as the next guy, but personally I would not swap in a toyota diesel. There's a thread on here of a guy that did a 4BT swap, ill try to find it
