anyone swapped the inline 6 toyota diesel from the hil-lux into a taco?

Its been done plenty of times, gonna cost around 5 grand for just the half cut of a hi-lux,then you have customs, shipping and storage to deal with before you even see it. Then comes the labor..... that's why it costs $15,000+ to have a shop do it.

The inline 6 was in the FJ series and is too long for the engine bay and also too heavy for the suspension. The little 2.0 I4 used in the hilux is a reliable little engine but a lot of people complain they find it "under-powered" it works well but was not designed as a highway engine at least not for the speeds we commonly drive here in NA. It will take a awhile to get up to speed and passing requires a lot of pre-planning.
