Hey Truckman, are you going to be using hysteer?
Heres a pic of the clearance I have even with how high I have the engine.

still haven't decided. when i do (if i do) go hysteer, i will probably do what kracken did and modify oil pump pickup and oil pan to give extra clearance. got my batteries yesterday for a whopping 1900 CCA! gotta find my gm rad, (i think a buddy of mine has one i can prolly have for free) Also, another friend of mine's dad has told me that if i ever need any stainless, to let him know (because he works for a food grade fab/construction company) and he'll snag some for me (for free!!!) so i think the exhaust and coolant piping to the rad is going to be stainless.

and as much as i hate to say it, i'm thinking about bobbing my shortbox. the bed is already unuseable for much of anything especially with a nylon bedbox and i'm figuring the radiator, shrouding, fans, and batteries are going to take up about as much room. the bug has got me. and it's taking me places i didn't hink i would want to go. and the worst part is.... i love it!!!!! muhahahaha!!!!. goodnight everyone

so my poly toolbox and bedliner are going to have to come out. anybody that is close to bham that wants them can have them. liner is actually for a 94 short box but i trimmed about 3" off the back so i could close the tailgate.

well more progress, i know it has been a while. i am puting my subaru back together on monday after doing the head gaskets so i have something reliable to drive while the truck comes apart. then it gets this -

http://www.4x4labs.com/products/dies...ions/om617w56/

I know i could probably make this but $625 for a bolt together kit that has already been engineered with all the correct fasteners will save a lot of headache. then all i have to do is mounts, cooling system, exhaust and fuel. and of course a little wiring.

Sokoji, i am stealing your idea on puting the MB tach in the non-SR5 cluster. should turn out pretty good.

The Gf and I are going on a camping trip on the second weekend of June and I hope to be rollin coal on the way over the pass with my boat!

well i just did the front main seal, rear main seal, oil pan gaskets, and vacuum pump rebuild kit. doing timing chain tomorrow, valve adjust, valve cover gasket, and pulling the 20R out. Then the adapter plate goes on, engine goes in and i start fabbing mounts.

Jethro, you should be rollin' in no time!

Nice YOINK! Great progress, Truckman! Btw, I don't think it's "glurg, glurg, glurg".... Rather, it's "clack, clack, clack", lol... jk. Anyway, that's great news, I'm sure you'll have it in as PLANNED!

You making a tach, or using the one Sokoji offered? lol.

Here's all the progress I made today. Drove the truck to work at 9am and snapped the last pic around 4pm. I will upload a video of the first (smokey) fire off in the truck from earlier today.

All the harness I removed off of the fenders

Drivers fender before

Drivers fender after

Passenger fender after

OM617 on Stand after reseal

OM617 with 4X4labs.com adapter to W56

Droppin 'er in!

On the mounts at last!!!

DAYUM that looks snug! lol. Awesome work, Truckman! Very much an 'AWESOME MOD'!

Looks like you had to go in sideways for a second, then down, then rotate, ...etc., is that right?

we actually went sideways to rotate, then sideways the other way to rotate, then i just manned up, pulled the water pump, crank pulley, vac pump, and power steering pump off and dropped it in straight. the oil pan grazed the rad support and the pressure plate almost tore off my heater control valve. it's rediculously large and i am glad i have decided to put the batteries and radiator in the bed.
