1993 4Runner 3.0 V6 w/ r150f 5-speed to OM617
Some walnut I had
Range Rover Discovery Cup holders
Notice tailpipe and exhaust stained bumper
Started this swap s few years ago in my head and with the help of these forums. :-) Finally got around to buckling down and getting it done. I've been driving it for abount 3 months as a dd and I really like it alot. Getting about 25-29 mpg depending on city/hwy driving. Happy to answer any questions I can to help someone move forward. It's a fun driver! You have to look pretty close to even tell mine is any different than any other....but then it dose become rather obvious (tailpipe....lol) Adapter plate by Luke @ 4x4Labs (very nice - perfect work). The rest by pretty much by me (a freind welded the motor mounts and assorted brackets - although I did learn during the process).

That's one crazy long post, but you have some great photos in it. I'm currently amassing parts to swap my first gen pickup over to diesel with a 617.950 from a 300SD. If you don't mind, I will probably be bugging you with some questions.

it looks great, and very similar to my plans! I want to try to and be helpful and let you know that those vacuum pumps on the Mercedes don't last forever. when they fail they can do damage to other internal parts. If you aren't using it (looks capped) I would just bolt on a block off plate and hang onto the vacuum pump in case plans change. It should be very easy with your skills and simple to do with the motor in place.
