wiring help

I have a small black/ white wire coming from my starter. It runs parallel to the large gauge wire coming from the starter to the battery, but was cut before I could see where it ended. It plugs into the bottom of the starter. I need to know what it is and where does it go to. Thanks.

The large one goes directly to your battery.

The smaller one needs to run into your kickpanel where all the other wires go. I ran my own wire in there by making a small hole in the 3.4 loom going through the firewall.

In there, in one of the stock 3.0 plugs, there is a large black/white wire that is the starter trigger wire for the 3.0. Verify with a multimeter, but I think its the only black/white wire there.

The wire from your starter needs to get wired together with this black/white wire in the kickpanel ALONG with another wire leading TO the STA pin out of the ECM so the ECM knows that you are cranking the motor.

LOL. When you are done we will have the exact same "knowledge". I have done this exactly ONE time, just like you will have.

Nothing major. I am having a tough time figuring out how to mount the shifter but I may have found a good way last night.

Also I gonna have to do some creative exhaust routing. My downtube sits against the inside passenger side framerail about 6" in front of my shackle bolt. I need to find a way to push the cat out about 1.5" to clear that bolt.
