Tyco Electronics ECU Connector Part Numbers

Long story short, while chasing an electrical bug, I decided to replace a couple of the terminals and connector housings with my swap and rather than spend the $$ that Toyota wants for housings and new wire ends, I went out and found the actual manufacturer's part numbers.

These were originally made by AMP, but somewhere along the lines Tyco Electronics bought AMP, so now they're Tyco (TE) parts. Some still have "AMP" molded in the housing, the newer ones have "TE" molded.

This is all based on the 96/97 4Runner 5VZ EWD, but I seem to recall that the 3 row connectors were used in later model 5VZs.

I couldn't add an actual table, so this is the closest I cared to get, but imagine the following data as a table, with headers "URL," "Part Number," and "Color." I included information about the crimp on terminals that are needed, at the bottom.

E5 (A) - 26 pin female - 90980-11390 (pitch 3, 3.5 mm, mating tab width 1, 1.8 mm)

http://www.te.com/usa-en/product-175269-1.html 1.8 mm Gold

F-crimp crimp tool is needed to properly crimp the terminals.

You're on your own to find a site to buy these, but in general, I've had good luck with www.mouser.com/, www.digikey.com/, and www.jameco.com/ but I haven't checked that they all carry these.

Enjoy!

EDIT:
Here's a picture of the connectors from the EWD
