Does anyone know why my tach would show 3000 rpm when you turn the key but motor off? I have completed the tac mod. Vehicle is 92 4runner 3.0 original with 3.4 swap in progress. I have seen this issue on another thread but the solution was never posted and PM went unanswered.

You have to press needle back on the tach with the key on so that its rotated properly. Take your needle back off, with the cluster attached and powered up. With the power still on place the needle to 0. You should be good

I have same problem with mine showing 3000rpm as soon as key is flipped on. What's the deal with this?
