Swap finished, brake issues.

Ok so my swap is done, runs great blah blah blah, I also did a SAS and FJ rotor's at the same time. Everything seems fine except I get a slow pulsing as i'm coming to a stop...kind like the booster is pulsing..hard then soft and so on. The brakes stop the runner just fine, but it is defiantly not consistent pressure to the pedal. I am thinking something is hooked up wrong to the booster?

Where is your booster hooked up to vacuum? what check valve did you use? Pic's? thanks!

are the brakes pulsing or is the motor pulsing? I would check your rear brakes and have the drums turned, clean the shoes, and adjust.

Its not the motor, just the brakes. like they are getting boost then no boost off and on as you come to a stop.

Did you figure this out?

I have been driving with my swap for about three months and this is one of three issues I am living with.. If you did figure this one out can you post up what you did to correct?

Did you use new rotors or used ones? If used, did you turn them before the install?

Even if you un-hooked the booster while stopping, it should have enough vacuum to stop without pulsing. Does the steering wheel shake when stopping? Do you feel it in your floor or seat? Is it ONLY in the brake pedal?

The check valve just holds vacuum in the booster so when you shut the engine off, your pedal stays consistent.

Try removing your check valve to eliminate that possibility.

You could even unplug your booster all together- while using extreme caution, knowing your brakes are gonna suck holes- to see if that eliminates your issue or not...
