speedometer question on 1999 3.4 swap

I am swapping in a 1999 3.4 plus auto trans plus transfer case. I know they use an electronic signal for the speedo in the 99 but my 88 is mechanical. There is a hole in the transfer case with a bolted in plug and when I remove it I see the gear to drive a mechanical speedo. Where do I find the part to slip in the hole to run my mechanical speedometer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

IIRC 88-91 V6 Manual transmission has the correct diameter sensor? As for whether it's the right ratio, can't say for sure.

Take the plug out and go to a local wrecking yard, start pulling speedo drive gears out of trucks/4Runners until you get one that matches up

I have a 5spd Trans with speedometer cable. The ECU gets the speed signal from the speedometer. I'm not sure what pin it is...check your wiring.

some landcruisers ran a speed sensor that had an electrical out and mechanical out. Not sure if it will bolt on or not. Your best bet is gonna be a mechanical from 88-91 V6 as Deathcougar pointed out.
